This module introduces student to floristry retail practices and combines theory with work placement. The module embraces employability and skills development giving students grounding in basic retail practices. Students will be expected to acquire new personal skills and consolidate previous experience in order to develop new strengths and seek out further opportunities.
Personal development planning, skills audit and target setting will focus students on achieving a valuable experience in the context of employability and future career goals.
A minimum of 100 hours in a UK floristry work place will be expected in order to apply skills and knowledge learnt elsewhere on the course to aid practical skills development. Please note that the maximum number of hours worked should not exceed the UKBA work placement limits. The module leader will advise each student on the minimum and maximum number of hours required in line with current legislation.
