This module provides an opportunity to apply all the knowledge gained in Essential Business and Management Concepts and Practice.
Part 1 of this module is designed to enable students to study a real business and produce a report, applying theory and practice learnt previously in the course. The module will develop an understanding of the complexity of the decision making process and show how pragmatism needs to be part of the planning process within an organisation.
Part 2 will look at how business planning is used in the creation of a new business. The student will learn to demonstrate knowledge of basic business planning techniques for forecasting or simple budgeting, and how to present this by supplying information appropriate to the lender's needs. Topics covered include elements of a plan, basic planning and persuasive presentation.
